“Change happens through movement, and movement heals”

About Rachael

Rachael is a Pilates teacher, who also writes on topics related to exercise, food, fashion and wellness.

Rachael first got into Pilates because of injuries and on going joint problems. After experiencing the benefits for herself, it sparked her interest in teaching in a way that emphasises the therapeutic, corrective aspect of movement, especially in those with athletic goals and active lifestyles.

She originally trained with Breathe education and holds a Diploma of Clinical Pilates. She’s furthered her education with mentoring and professional development based on PITC curriculum. She blends both perspectives, of precise, technical with allowing the body to move and express how it wants to.

She is particularly interested in working with kyphosis, hip and other joint concerns and has plans to undertake more training in this area, in particular for scoliosis.

Her sessions tend to lean towards a slower pace. Focusing on alignment, form and creating balance across the muscle groups, then progressively strengthening.

The details are emphasised; how it’s done over how many.

You’ll leave feeling calmer, lighter and well stretched out.
